
Special Events
Whether your event is a small conference or large convention, one speaker or multiple speakers, a dinner for 10 people or more than 1,000, I can make that event special. Every event has certain inherit stressors. However, with my effective planning technique and detailed planning timeline, stress is reduced dramatically. My goal is to keep you at peace while I effectively handle all of the stress associated with the planning.
Research
• Develop SWOT analysis of potential venues on/off campus that meets stated requirements
• Determine best strategy to offer event costs efficiently
Event Coordination and Support
• Develop and monitor the event planning timeline
• Develop budget and monitor expenses
• Participate in or conduct site selection and interface with event site
• Establish and maintain liaison with the event point-of-contact, planning committee or
event site to ensure proper space needs
• Attend planning meetings
• Plan and organize the various check-in area functions
• Select an appropriate supplier of audio‑visual equipment
• Order specified A-V equipment. Coordinate on-site activities of the A-V team
• Make all necessary arrangements with caterers, including menu selection
• Manage the event
• Work with and organize staff volunteers at event
Graphic Design
• Design reception invitation
• Work with company’s web designer/team
• Create event signage
• Create participant name badges
• Create volunteer assignment sheet
• Create volunteer name badges
Fees: $1,500.00 (beginning rate)
Hourly rate: $65.00 (after initial fee)
Graphic design: $40 per hour
